Aland Kaban —
Bio
There isn't one title that explains what Aland Kaban does.
Some know him as a director.
Others know him as a producer.
Many know him as the founder of Unique Engine Group.
Over the past decade, his work has grown beyond filmmaking into shaping the creative infrastructure behind it. What began behind the camera evolved into a multidisciplinary group spanning commercial production, creative communications, strategic investment, and media, bringing every stage of the creative process under one vision.
Instead of simply making projects, Aland began creating the conditions that make ambitious work possible, bringing together creative talent, production capability, business strategy, and long-term partnerships under one roof. The goal was never to build another production company. Production was simply the foundation. What emerged was an ecosystem designed to take ideas from their earliest conversations to their final execution.
Today, Aland works across directing, executive production, business development, and company building. Through Unique Engine Group, he continues to connect creativity, business, and production into a single ecosystem, developing not only films and campaigns, but the people, companies, and partnerships that make them possible.

What I believe
about the work.
Beforetheintroduction
Some people spend a lifetime introducing themselves.
Others spend it building something that speaks before they do.
This isn't a story about recognition. It's a story about what happens before it.
Long nights that never become headlines. Decisions no one remembers. Standards no one sees.
The work begins long before anyone knows your name.
And if you're lucky — one day, the work becomes the introduction.
Building,notchasing
It never started with production. Or advertising. Or entrepreneurship.
Those were never destinations — only tools needed to build something bigger.
Ideas are fragile on their own. They need people, teams, companies, and a system that allows the next idea to exist.
Not building projects. Building the conditions that make great projects possible.
Oneidea.Manyforms.
A production house to bring stories to life.
A creative agency to shape ideas before they exist.
A capital arm to invest in what's next.
Not an organisation. An ecosystem.
Behindeveryframe
The audience sees the final thirty seconds.
We remember the months that came before them.
The conversations. The impossible timelines. The hundreds of decisions no one will ever notice.
That's the invisible part of the work — and often, the part that matters most.
Iraq
Building in Iraq has never been the easy option.
That's exactly why it matters.
Every successful production proves something bigger than itself.
World-class ideas don't belong to one market. Talent doesn't recognise borders.
Creativity becomes stronger when it's built where people least expect it.
Whatcomesnext
The work continues. New companies. New collaborations. New stories.
Not because growth is the goal — because building never really ends.
Every project leaves the industry slightly different than it found it.
That's enough reason to begin the next one.
Work until you no longer need to introduce yourself.
